Explorers Scouts Ready, Steady, Cook Auction

The Explorers Scouts held their annual Ready, Steady, Cook Competition tonight but as usual this one had a twist.  Before any of the three teams could start cooking they had to bid against one another in the Ready, Steady Cook Auction to secure their ingredients.  This generated a bidding war with 2 chicken breast selling for 15 and a pack of mixed vegetables for 10!  The teams then had 45 minutes to prepare and serve their dish.

We were served with the delights of Chicken and Yellow Pepper Jalfezi with rice with a Pasta Bread Ball, Stir-Fry Minced Beef with Pineapple and Peppers and Lemon and Ginger Chicken with rice.  All meals were edible and didn't stay on the plate for too long after they had been served and marked.
