Another fantastic International Summer Camp draws to an end as we are now back in the UK and have just left Southwaite Services (10.00 a.m.) having had breakfast. We anticipate arrival back in Giffnock between noon and 12.15 p.m. and as such the pick-up point will be the car park in Eastwood Park beside the St. Ninian's Games Hall. If anyone has a problem with this time then please contact the In-Touch contact, Gillian Caldwell as soon as possible.

The Long and Winding Road Home has begun. We left Adelboden at 11.00 a.m. after a farewell BBQ the night before and moved quickly through Switzerland, crossing the border into France around 1.00 p.m. We then spent 2 hours in the ancient city of Colmar before heading towards the coast and a very early morning ferry (1.50 a.m.) back to the UK. More information will be added later about arrival times. A big thanks to our drivers Kevin and Paul from Abbots of Leeming Coaches who looked after us so well and got us back to the UK so quickly and safely today.

Today was our final full day in Switzerland and was as action packed as all the others. The Scouts returned from their Mystery Activity from the night before which was a spectacular Chocolate Fondue and then an overnight Sleeping (although we are not sure how much of that went on) in Straw in a hay-loft.
On return the Scouts headed off on their day pass for the cable car, walking between stations and scootering between others.
The Explorers had a day at the Adventure Park where they slid down zip wires, tried a Tyrolean crossing and abseiled first from a bridge and then in a deep gorge.
Tonight we finished with a BBQ for all and a rendition on the pipes through the Alps from Gordon. Tomorrow we depart for home and we will update the website on our return to the UK with an expected arrival time.
