Schilthorn & Trummelbach Falls

6th July 2011

Today the rest of the party who were not up a mountain overnight headed over to the Schilthorn, the famous revolving restaurant that was Blofeld's lair, Piz Gloria, in the James Bond film "On Her Majesty's Secret Service".  After a 32 minute climb in a succession of increasing smaller cable cars they reached the summit at over 9,000ft.  The party took the tour and then sat in the revolving restaurant.

Then it was down to Murren for lunch before setting off for the Trummelbach Falls where the waterfalls flow through the inside of the mountain at the rate of 20,000 litres per second flowing off the glaciers on the Jungfrau, Monch and Eiger.
