Scouts do 1 thing on Founder's Day
Today Scouting celebrates the birth of our founder, Robert Baden-Powell. And now is the perfect time to reflect on the scout promise, particularly when it comes to 'helping other people.'

Within the Unit we have provision for offering the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

We offer the award at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels and we currently have young people working on all levels of the Award.  For Bronze, Silver and Gold there are four sections which are undertaken:

Volunteering, Skills, Physical Recreation and Expedition.  At Gold level there is also a Residential experience which is undertaken.

At Bronze level we operate our Practice and Qualifying Expeditions in the Clyde Muirshiel Park Area.

At Silver level we operate our Practice Expedition on the Isle of Arran and our Qualifying Expedition in the Trossachs.

At Gold level we operate our Practice Expedition in the Trossachs and our Qualifying Expedition in the Cairngorms.
